PROGRAM NOTE
This piece comes out of one simple image: dead leaves and twigs caught in a winter stream. The movement is gradually towards a featureless static drone, but this is interrupted by little swirls and miniature logjams as material clumps together and then gets dislodged. Much of the color in the music derives from different types of bowing rather than great dynamic or melodic variety.

As Visitor 4: Snare — Rivulet this piece is also a satellite component of Fabrications, a set of 32 works which may be performed together, in any smaller configuration, or individually.
